GUTHRIE COUNTY
Guthrie County is located about 35 minutes west of the state capitol of Des Moines and 90 minutes east of Omaha,
Nebraska. Most cities in the county are located within 15 minutes of Interstate 80.
Guthrie County has a regional airport, a county hospital, Springbrook State Park, numerous county parks and recreation
areas, five area golf courses (including one PGA Championship course), and two private lake developements. A new aquatic
center is under construction.
The Raccoon River Valley Trail is a multi-use recreation trail that passes through parts of Dallas, Guthrie
